Scholarships and Awards
There are several language scholarships available to Richmond students who demonstrate either merit or need. In particular, scholarships are provided to students who might otherwise not be able to participate in a study abroad program during the summer, the semester, or the academic year. Some scholarships are co-sponsored with the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (LLC).
Applications are currently being accepted. The deadline for submitting applications for summer 2025 and for the 2025-2026 academic year will be February 14, 2025 at midnight. Applicants will receive notice of awards approximately by March 1, 2025 for the Holt Summer Scholarship and by April 1, 2025 for all other scholarships.
Once a student submits the application, a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of the application will be sent by Jaime Rung in Languages, Literatures, and Cultures or Sarah Helen Studebaker in LALIS within 48 hours. Students will be notified of departmental decisions in March.
